Looking at various movements in design art, and the logo, one was introduced to kick start the session, and that was the BauHaus. The BauHaus was a German design school that taught students in one specific style for the most part. And all of the professors that taught at the school of design were also major practitioners in the practice of design, one being Morcelle Breur. Another movement that is of note is that of De Stijl. De Stijl is a design movement that unearthed at the same time as the BauHaus movement, in the 1920/30's. It was a Dutch Avante Garde movement that became highly influential as time passed.

Moving from that of interesting designers and the more known movements, we come to those that created recognised works for various clients. One client of which was The Beatles. Richard Hamilton created the 'White' album cover for the band, as well as creating the record label 'Apple' for The Beatles as well. Other names that are of merit from this lecture are Alex Coles - Design Art, Mark Newson - Product Designer, and Dan Graham.
