Assessment Feedback

During this concise seminar session, most of the time spent in attendance was used for group exercises and discussions about the outcomes of our individual formative assessments. So, the first activity for the session was to self-assess ourselves on our theory as practice essay presentation that was given during the assessment. One thing that I did well during the assessment was providing an interesting concept for discussion and showing some good examples. One thing that I did badly was that I got the order of the slides wrong for the assessment, which was touched on after the formative session was complete by the tutor. And finally, one thing that I had learnt was that I needed to think more about the amount of information given in the conclusion and also to work on time management.

After completing the section for self assessment, we move on into small groups to discuss our work amongst ourselves. Whilst the information given by the tutor was very useful during the assessment, getting the further insight given by my own peers was extremely useful. Something that they pointed out, that I had not included in my personal assessment was that I needed to include references for the images used in the presentation on the actual image rather than just at the very end of the presentation with the reference list. From the majority of comments made on the work, the main thing that needs to be worked on with this presentation is the final structure of the slides themselves. This is the kind of thinking that should be considered when also completing the actual written essay counter-part.
