Keywords & Literature

When generating keywords, there are a few basics that need to be run-through by the person writing the paper. These steps being; define your topic, pick the keywords and choose a database. For example, applying that thinking to my own essay project, it would end up looking something like; Define your topic; Automation in Graphic Design - the idea that computing, programs and technology will surpass human ability in design. Now that we have a definition, we can take some keywords from it such as;

Automation, Graphic Design, Technology, Computing, Programs and Creativity.

This exercise is what was brought up in the research seminar, which also gave other ways of discovering your essay topics keywords and so on. Things like the essay title or reading through the introduction to the brief are good places to find the keywords relevant to the document in question.

Moving from the many ways of finding the keywords of your project we went onto the Literature Review segment of the seminar. This is something that I have run through my currently unfinished essay and essay presentation for the assessment. Going through my sources and references to determine their eligibility its content, is vital to a strong piece. So that form of thinking has been applied to my essay.

The structure of a literature review is as follows; Outline your topic, give definitions and basic historical framework, present main ideas, writings and practices, present research question. Applying this to my essay is shown in the blog post titled My Literature Review.
