Photoshop Non-destructive Editing

During this Process and Production session we were walked through various factors and benefits of using an SLR camera. Alongside this we were also given examples of what can be made possible with certain file types and different programs that work inclusively with Photoshop. We were given an example of a how a Photoshop document can create results without the original image being altered in any way.

With that in mind we were put to the task of basically picking an image to pieces. In picking these images apart we were experimenting with various tools, effects and some filters with the work to alter its look severely. All of this was done whilst keeping the initial aim intact throughout the design of leaving the original image or render alone. The only reason this was done, as explained in the session somewhat, was so that if something went wrong or you wanted to start from a certain point again, you could just revert back to the original image and work from there.

And finally, this final set of images is in place to show the non-destructive self portrait that we had to complete either at the end of the session or afterwards. The edits have some basic experimentations but are quite resilient in their differentiating colours.
