In this lecture, we were run through various factors of the typography parts of design. Typography is probably one of the most important parts of design, and can have a very large effect over the output and influence of a design. Designers and authors that were touched on are of the likes of; Walter Tracy, Willie Kunz, Craig Ward, Massimo Vignelli and many more designers and authors of the like.
Font is what you use, and typeface is what you see (Norbert Florendo, 2008). Throughout this presentation we were shown the different factors that apply to typography when using it in design. For instance, we were shown how important tracking is when using spacing between letters, and also how important leading is when using typefaces. This, amongst many, are the things that should be taken into consideration when designing something with a font.
