To finish off the first years process and production sessions with the Adobe Creative Cloud, run by Stephen, we were introduced to the Cinema 4D program. Although I had already work with the program previously in a Workshop Week activity, it was interesting to see some other examples of how it can be used. For instance, in the session run during Workshop Week we were shown how to create an object and have it float in 3D space, of which can be found within this blog. And in this session talked about within this topic, we were shown the motion of shapes and various other stages.
To start with some screenshots of this session, as shown below you can see how we had experimented with the various possibilities that are at hand when using Cinema 4D. Within the screenshots you can see how we first created a simple square block that was then altered to bend in the direction of our choosing via adding the 'bend' parameter. We then learnt how objects can be duplicated and stacked on top or beside one another and also how to stack the bent blocks onto a spiral to make an interesting short animation. And finally, before moving onto the animated blocks, we were shown how to create a set of text in the space provided - in this case it can be seen with the written word "Helvetica" in... Helvetica.
As you can see above those are the various stages that we had attained when going through the session. And for the next segment of this post, there are two short animation examples that you can look at, and they show how these objects shown above have been made to move. That created a rather interesting final effect as well.
And the final clip shows something that we were shown, how to animated and create lifelike floating paper with gravity effects being held against them.
